  • The conference will take place in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
The conference venues are within walking distance of the city centre:

A coach will be provided to take you from Brussels to the town of your choice.

    • Sunday: University of Brussels (VUB, www.vub.be)

The city is so compact that everything is easily accessible by public transport or on foot.

  • Thinking about joining us at the International Fair Trade Towns Conference 2026 in Belgium? It might be worth making that decision sooner rather than later.

Our tickets move in waves, and with each passing wave, the price quietly shifts.

Secure your spot early - priority is given to full conference registrations. Early bird tickets are therefore available for 3 Day Passes only. The 150 early bird tickets are available until 1 July.

And in the next wave, a weekend pass will still be better value than a day pass.

  • Ticket fees are based on your country of origin, so please check if you are already entitled to a free ticket before contacting us.

We have a small inclusivity fund for people who would like to attend but are unable to pay the ticket fees.

If you have difficulty accessing the conference for financial reasons, please email annabella@fairtradebelgium.be and the fee may be waived. If the fee is waived, we will send you a discount code to use when registering. We cannot support you with travel or accommodation costs.

We will consider all applications on an individual basis. We cannot guarantee that all those who submit a request will be granted a free ticket.

  • We can send you a letter inviting you to the conference in Belgium. However, you will need to handle the application and all the formalities involved in obtaining your visa yourself.

Please send a request for the invitation letter to annabella@fairtradebelgium.be‍ ‍

  • The content of the conference may appeal to young Fair Traders and campaigners aged under 18, but we think young people under the age of 18 may not benefit fully from the content.

We would ask that all young people under the age of 18 are always accompanied by an adult.

  • The conference will mainly be conducted in English.

Official interpreters are not provided. However, we will help each other and use digital tools such as Google Translate and DeepL.

The Saturday program in Namur (French-speaking Belgium) will be conducted in English and French.

Sunday morning the theatre play Cacao Quest, is in French. No translation or subtitles will be provided.
